Welcome!
This manual is in process of being written! I’m aiming to get it completed by the end of 2025!
Feel free to comment where you would like more detail or clarification!

Sine Machine is a new additive synth with some unique features:
- 20 voices of 511 time-domain oscillators (not iFFT, but actual oscillators)
- bulk-editing of per-harmonic ADSR, volume and pitch LFOs
- additive “reverb” made out of 1000 sine waves
- additive “filters” including brickwall and gaussian band-pass
- per-harmonic gaussian pitch noise (yum)
- hackable plaintext presets in the json format
Sine Machine is a “purist” additive synth
That means that every single “effect” and filter is done within the additive engine itself — by changing the pitch and volumes of partials. Even the reverb is made from sine waves 🙂
Outside of some clip limiting, there’s no traditional dsp or anything slapped on top of the synth signal chain.
