Optimizing Performance
If you find some particular patches are heavy on your CPU, here are some tips:
- The lower the note -> the more harmonics -> the heavier the load is on the CPU. For that reason, I’d recommend reducing the number of bass notes that are active at once. Switch the synth into MONO if you don’t need polyphony. Alternatively, turn
Releasedown so there’s not a bunch of overlapping tails. - Each additional unison voice is a full stack of processing. So 2 unison voices is twice the work of the synth with just 1 unison voice. Reducing
Unison Voicesdown to 2 or 3 will save CPU. - The additive reverb is pretty expensive, as it always emits 2000 sine waves. Turning
Additive Verb MixtoOFFsaves CPU.
