It might feel quirky to be on v22 of a plugin, but this is how we make sure updating doesn’t mess with your old projects. We want to feel free to add new features without breaking old projects.
When Sine Machine adds or changes parameters, we bump the major version. Each major version installs alongside any older major versions.
Activation
After you download Sine Machine, you’ll be asked to “activate” it on first open. You will be presented with a button that will open a web page asking you to start a trial or log in to your account.
Once purchased, you can activate up to 3 computers per license. If you get a new computer, you can revoke a license on an old machine yourself.
Don’t worry, you don’t always have to be online to use Sine Machine. However, if you are offline for longer than 3 weeks, it will explicitly ask you to activate online.
When online, Sine Machine will check in with the activation server when it first starts up. This is so it can check for new versions and allows you to revoke and move licenses.
Sine Machine will never interrupt audio playback or mess with audio in your old projects, for any reason whatsoever (even if your trial expired).
