Free
By default, in FREE
mode, each voice (and harmonics within the voice) have their own volume LFOS set in Hz (cycles per second).
BPM
When BPM
is selected, the rates are derived from the DAW’s transport. In Standalone, this defaults to 120 BPM.
As with FREE
, the individual phases of harmonic modulation still depends on the Note On
of each voice.
BPM ABS
This poorly named setting locks the phases of each harmonic in each voice to the DAW’s transport position (vs. Note On
). Translation: every voice has the same volume LFO, they move together.
For now, the Rate Harmonic XY no longer applies in BPM ABS
, as each harmonic is locked to the DAW’s transport position.
BPM Rate details
When in BPM
sync mode, rates are specified in bars and beats.
D
is for Dotted
. Think of it as and a half. A dotted quarter note is a quarter note and a half.
T
is for Triplet. Think of it as 3 divisions in the time it normally takes 2. So an eighth-note triplet is 3 divisions in the same amount of time as a quarter note.
