Trem types control how the volume on the harmonics go up and down. In other words, the volume modulation of the harmonics.
There are 3 trem types: Triangle
, Ramp
and Square
— each of these can be inverted by the Invert
button on the right.
It a deceptively simple offering, with some magic under the hood.

Attacks and Decays
The Triangle
and Ramp
icons look linear to keep them easily identifiable.
However, in reality, every time the volume goes up, it’s a logarithmic attack.
Every time the volume comes down, it’s an exponential decay.
These defaults make a huge difference in sound, and is what makes all sorts of effects possible from delays to reverbs to plucky arpeggios.
The Triangle
and Ramp
attacks and decays are the same exact curves as Envelopes
.
The Ramp
type is great for reverb and delaying sounds, as you’ll get a crisp initial attack, and then softer repeats.
